Support to Governors

28th Sep 2007

Reviewing the Headteacher’s Performance

As you will probably be aware, national regulations require a school’s governing body to appoint 2-3 governors to review the headteacher’s performance and agree objectives by 31st December each year. Governors are required to carry out this with the support of a SIP or external adviser.

If your school has yet to be allocated a SIP, ELC has a database of external advisers with established track records to support governors in this process of Reviewing the Headteacher’s Performance.

The fee for the external adviser’s work will be £500. This will include:

  • Prescrutiny of data
  • Preliminary advice
  • The PM meeting with head and governors
  • Producing a draft performance management statement (if requested)
  • For further details please contact ELC

    Call: ELC on 01223 499200

This service will operate until 31st March 08 in order to help you meet the statutory deadline.
