Children's Centre Leaders
ELC supports a series of programmes that concentrate on the needs of leaders within multi-agency & early year’s settings.
Children’s centre leaders can be a leader, deputy or deputy equivalent of a DfES designated, or LA approved children’s centre. All of which are at the centre of the evolution of integrated children’s centres.
Headteachers of maintained nursery schools are now able to achieve an equivalent qualification to the National Professional Qualification for Headteachers(NPQH)through the programmes that ELC can provide.
The programmes are focused towards Children’s Centre Leaders, whether they are called managers, co-ordinators or directors and according to the LDR magazine, these programmes ‘are already influencing the design of new training modules for school leaders addressing the challenges of the new (Every Child Matters) agenda’.
