The China UK school leadership programme has been developed by the Eastern Leadership Centre in Cambridge in association with partners in China and with the support of the British Council.
We currently work within 2 regions of China:
Chongqing, in south western China, where we work in association with the Chongqing College of Education and the British Council in Chongqing, delivering leadership skills training to primary and secondary Headteachers.
Guangdong, in south eastern China, where we work in association with the Institute of Education at the University of Guangzhou, along with the British Council in Guangzhou, delivering leadership skills and mentor training to Headteachers.
The programme comprises several stages:
This is a 5 – 10 day programme, contextualised to meet the needs of local Headteachers.
This is a supplementary programme to enable local Headteachers to mentor colleague heads as a follow up to our training programme.
This is a programme of between 2 and 4 weeks in the UK which includes school visits, a school placement for work shadowing and further leadership training to build on the lessons learned from the school experience.
