Professional leadership training and events for the eastern region

Pastoral Leadership Programme

The Pastoral Leadership programme has been created by leading professionals currently working in schools. It prepares and supports emergent and new pastoral leaders, who may or may not be teachers, for the complex and diverse challenges that face them. It also acts as a refresher for those already working in this field.

Programme Outcomes
By focusing on supporting vulnerable young people through multi-agency collaboration and in-school intervention this CPD initiative will help to disseminate good practise to support the delivery of the Every Child Matters Agenda and the Children’s Plan.

The Pastoral Leadership Programme gives you the opportunity to:

  • Support vulnerable young people, their parents and carers in more effective ways whilst improving your own practice and learning
  • Learn about the skills and protocols necessary for successful multi-agency working and leading pastoral teams in your school
  • Become more confident and experienced in responding to a wide range of challenging issues
