Certificate of School Business Management
The Certificate of School Business Management (CSBM) is designed to enable school business managers and potential school business managers to develop their professional competence and professional learning. Candidates will progress independently through the programme with the support of face-to-face workshops, online units, taught units, supported school-based action research projects and talk2learn forums and discussions.

The CSBM course is externally accredited by the Institute of Administrative Management (IAM). Successful candidates will receive a ‘dual award’: the Certificate of School Business Management and the IAM Diploma. The IAM is a professional membership organisation with aims and objectives which complement the learning objectives of the course. The course is the equivalent of level 4 NVQ in Finance and Administration.
In addition to the dual award, the successful candidate will also receive one year’s free membership of the IAM upon graduation.
